Welcome to kinnctd, a community and place-based mobile application operated by Plant Build and Restore, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the kinnctd mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register for the app, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products, participate in activities on the app, or otherwise contact us. We do not collect precise GPS location data, access your contacts, calendar, microphone, health data, or financial data beyond what is processed by our third-party subscription managers.

The personal information we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the app. It includes:

Note: Google Maps SDK is used to render maps within the app. Per Google’s terms, the SDK may receive your device IP address and device identifiers when it loads map tiles. Google’s privacy practices apply to that interaction. The kinnctd app itself does not request foreground or background GPS permission.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect or receive to:

  • Facilitate account creation and logon processes.
  • Manage user accounts and provide our core services (e.g., discovery library, journeys, community browsing, chat).
  • Process your subscriptions and payments.
  • Send you administrative information, such as updates to our terms, conditions, and policies.
  • Deliver targeted push notifications (if enabled).
  • Respond to user inquiries and offer support.
  • Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience.
  • Enforce our terms, conditions, and policies for business purposes, legal reasons, and contractual obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising purposes.

3. Third-Party Processors

We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents (“sub-processors”) who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work.

4. User Rights and Choices

We provide you with the ability to manage your personal data directly within the app:

  • Access: You can view your own data via the Profile and Settings screens.
  • Edit: You can edit your display name, bio, location, avatar, cover image, and notification/sharing/privacy preferences via Settings → Edit Profile.
  • Data Portability / Export: You can request an export of your personal data by emailing us at info@plantbuildrestore.com.
  • Opt-out of Communications: We do not send marketing communications. You can toggle push notifications on or off in Settings.

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

You may permanently delete your kinnctd account and all associated personal data at any time by going to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account inside the app.

Deletion removes your profile, journey progress, prompt completions, saved items, community stories, group memberships, event RSVPs, and content reactions, and frees your email address for future re-registration. Deletion is processed immediately and is irreversible. Backups containing your data are purged within 30 days. Content that other users have already saved or copied may persist in their accounts.

For inactive accounts, data is kept until account deletion or 30 days after the last activity.

6. Children’s Privacy

The kinnctd application is intended for users who are 17 years of age and older. We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 17 years of age. If we learn that personal information from users less than 17 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.

7. Jurisdiction-Specific Disclosures

CCPA (California Residents)

If you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed.
  • Right to Delete: You can delete your data in-app at any time.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell your personal information.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
  • Financial Incentives: We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for your data.

GDPR (EU/UK Residents)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK), we process your personal data under the following lawful bases:

  • Consent: For push notifications and optional sharing toggles.
  • Contract Performance: For account creation and managing subscriptions.
  • Legitimate Interest: For security, fraud prevention, and basic operation of the app.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability and to withdraw consent. International data transfers to processors (like Supabase and Stream Chat) are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses where required. No Data Protection Officer (DPO) is required for our current operations.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Last Updated” date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
